NetCruiser Proxy does the proxying (or relaying) of HTTP requests. This allows multiple
machines to access the web through a single machine. This is useful in an enviroment
where a single web connection needs to be shared among multiple machines.
The proxy server can be set up to either forward the requests to the final
destination or to another proxy server (which can in turn forward it to
another proxy or its final destination).
If direct TCP/IP access to the web is not available, the server can be setup to
do the requests through a SOCKS5 proxy.
You will need to run the web proxy (http proxy) on the machine with access to the web.
The easiest way to setup the Proxy Server is to use the Setup Wizard. Run the wizard:

Additional settings, such as limiting use of the proxy to only specific machines on the network,
or the blocking of specific links, can be setup from the HTTP Proxy control panel (click the
icon).
To complete the process, the web browsers on the client machines need to be setup to retrieve files
using a proxy server. The address of the proxy server will be the address of the machine on which
NetCruiser Proxy runs, and the port number will be the port number entered in the first step of
the Proxy Setup Wizard.
